The 6.9 EQ was 5kms off the coast of Tayasan, Negros Oriental. It registered 7.0 in Dumaguete City (where I live), and a Tsunami alert #2 was given, even though one never came - except for a 3 foot tsunami which was just like a high tide. Because of the constant aftershocks, it felt like you were riding a boat for 3 days. Quite a few people had migraines, and motion sickness as a result.
