Prescription drugs kill 231,000 Americans each year.
-106,000 when used as prescribed by their doctors.
-125,000 when used improperly.
Wake up people!

Yes drugs have side-effects, but we know what they are. No one is sure what exactly is in these "natual equivalents" so how they might react is completely unknown. Natural does not equal healthy or effective. If there's something in a natural medicine that does happen to be effective then it can be isolated and the dose controlled. It's impossible to tell what dose of the active ingredient (if there is one) someone is getting in these natural medicines. Dosage is everything.

There is no conspiracy theory. Almost every pharmaceutical company is a public traded company listed on the NYSE, AMEX, or NASDAQ. A public company has a fiduciary duty not to return profits to its shareholders, but to MAXIMIZE profits to its shareholders.
Pharma corps want to get people hooked on their drugs because it makes business sense-profits. It's not any different than a salesperson trying to sell you extended warranty.
No conspiracy here. Just good business practice on Big Pharma.

There are natural equivalents to almost every drug on the market. Drugs should be only necessary in physical injuries, such as car accidents and the doc has to perform surgery.
For depression, adhd, bipolar and other "mental" illnesses, take nutrients.
Almost every drug is an imitation of substances found in nature.

Pharmaceutical drugs are only necessary if you're physically hurt, ie in a car accident and the doctors need to perform surgery.
For conditions such as ADHD, bipolar, depression, heart disease, diabetes...you can use natural equivalents. Pharma drugs are an imitation of substances found in Nature. Most of these substances are nutrients.

"look around u and ask yerself why the people who tend to be the sickest are usually the ones taking the most drugs" omg? just think about that statement for a second.

not at all. many people need their meds in order to stay alive. the real problem, and im sure you'll agree, is that every time you buy this medicine 3 groups of people get rich. these people are the drug manufacturers/distributers, the insurance company, and the government official who gets paid off by the insurance company and the drug company. meanwhile your family stays sick and financially strained.
you still dont agree?

so yer saying bill is uneducated on this issue too? yes drugs are necessary sometimes but it doesnt change the fact that ALL drugs have side effects, you are so programmed into believing in western medicine you actually think im the one that is uneducated. look around u and ask yerself why the people who tend to be the sickest are usually the ones taking the most drugs. you and many others dont realize that there are nutrients that can treat sickness as well or better than drugs without the s/e

What you are saying is true, but I think people go way overboard, taking a pill for every little imperfection they have, because they want a simple solution. Some people have good reasons, like quitting smoking, or chronic depression, or to help them focus, but for some people, they just want an easy answer for their bad life styles, and often times they wouldn't have these problems if they ate right, and did some physical activities. Drug companies thrive becauase of those people.
